TD Bank (2019-2024)

From December 2019 through March 2024, I was employed as the first official full-time copywriter at TD Bank's internal advertising agency (A361). During my time there, I crafted landing pages, banner ads, headlines, in-branch screens, social media posts, and more. I was awarded two Canadian Marketing Academy awards (Silver and Bronze) in the Financial division for a project I worked on during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to copywriting, my agency role also included transcribing videos, creating captioning for videos, creating alternative text to make documents accessible, and proofreading copy of my teammates when our head proofreader was away. TD Music Connected Series

Lights - Social Media Video

In 2023, TD held the Music Connected Series, a series in which they gave away free tickets to 4 concerts across Canada to promote Canadian artists and Canadian music. For this project, I wrote organic social media posts for the artists, landing pages for the events, and paid ads for TD to post.

Refinancing Your Mortgage

Pinterest Ad

This piece is one post from a Pinterest ad campaign that promoted refinancing your mortgage for renovations. Utilizing an SEO tool, I found that the top searches that people were making in reference to refinancing their mortgages to make home renovations were inquiring about wood cabinets for their kitchen.

COVID-19 Protocols

This project, for which I was co-awarded two Canadian Marketing Association awards, informed customers on COVID-19 protocols as they related to the bank branches.

TD MySpend

Landing Page

When TD came out with TD MySpend, I developed a landing page to educate and inform people of the capabilities of this new program that would enable users to track their expenses, save for their goals, and track their cash flow all in one place.

Grade 1 Book Giveaway

Toronto Santa Claus Parade

In 2021, the book Malaika's Costume was selected to be the book in the TD Grade 1 Book Giveaway in which TD donated 550,000 copies to first grade students. The book went on to become the subject of TD's Toronto Santa Claus Parade float that year, for which I wrote the copy on the side of the float that celebrated and highlighting importance of reading.
